Asia Leadership Fellowship Program (ALFP) in Japan
Programme Provider: The International House of Japan and the Japan Foundation.
Eligible Students:  Applicants must have a good command of English to engage in deep and substantial discussions in English. The ALFP is open to citizens of Northeast-, Southeast- and South-Asian countries and regions, aged 35 to 59, inclusive.

Canadian Government Doctoral Research Scholarships for Nepalese Students

Eligible Students: To be eligible for the opportunity the applicant should not be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada; Must not have applied for permanent residence under the Canadian immigration laws.
Courses: The studentships are available for pursuing doctoral studies at Québec University.
Award Details: The maximum annual value of the doctoral research funding for international students is $20 000. During the eligibility period (nine sessions or 36 months), the program holder may receive up to nine payments totaling $60 000. Each payment is up to $6 667 covers a period of four months or one session.

Eligible Students: the program minimum qualification for admission to M.Sc. program includes one of the following degrees or their equivalents: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Economics/Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Statistics/Bachelor of Science in Physics or Mathematics/Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Engineering, with at least a Second Class/Division for Economics discipline and First Class/Division for other disciplines.   Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation.
Eligible Students: The NFP is meant for professionals who are nationals of and work and live in one of the 51 NFP countries.
Course: Fellowships are available for masters degree program, short courses and PhD Studies at a Dutch higher education institution which offers the NFP-qualified course.
Award Details: An NFP fellowship is intended to supplement the salary that the fellow should continue to receive during the study period. The allowance is a contribution towards the costs of living, the costs of tuition fees, visas, travel, insurance and thesis research. If applicable, the fellowship holder is expected to cover the difference between the actual costs and the amount of the personal NFP allowances.

Course: Grants are available for conducting research.
Award Details: Maximum 1,200,000 yen per grantee will be available to approximately 32 grantees. An amount from 240,000 to 960,000 yen per grantee was provided to 32 grantees for the 2013 program. (Depending upon the results of the Grantee Screening Committee’s assessment, the actual amount for some grantees could be less than the originally requested amount). The Kobayashi Fund will provide each grantee with a research grant to be used for expenses (transportation/accommodation for travel, purchase of reference books/archives, etc.) pertaining to the research activities in Japan and Asia-Pacific countries/regions.

IDRC Research Awards for Canadian and Developing Countries Students

Georg Forster Research Fellowship (HERMES) for Nepalese Students

Eligible Students: In providing Georg Forster Research Fellowships for experienced researchers, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly-qualified scientists and scholars from abroad, who completed their doctorates less than twelve years ago 1 to spend extended periods of research (6-18 months; may be divided up into a maximum of three blocks) in Germany. Candidates are expected to have their own, clearly defined research profile. This means they should usually be working at least at the level of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Group Leader or be able to document independent research work over a number of years.
Course: Fellowship is awarded for postdoctoral researchers to carry out long-term research of their own choice (6 to 24 months) at a research institution in Germany together with an academic host they have chosen yourself.
Award Details: the program covers A monthly fellowship of 2,650 EUR for postdoctoral researchers (doctorate completed within the last four years) or 3,150 EUR for experienced researchers (doctorate completed within the last 12 years).
